History

Mazarine Energy was founded by Edward van Kersbergen in 2013, when Edward was presented with an opportunity to obtain a permit to search and drill for oil in Tunisia. Immediately all the necessary wheels were put in motion, and from that moment onward, Mazarine Energy was a reality. After shooting 3D seismic and drilling two successful discoveries during 2015 in Tunisia, Mazarine Energy started Oil and Gas production in 2017 and carried on with its exploration program throughout 2018. In 2017 19 fields were acquired from OMV Petrom in Romania and in 2018 an additional 9 fields were transferred to Mazarine Energy. In 2026 Mazarine Energy acquired 50% of the shares in Wintershall Noordzee B.V., marking the company’s entry into the Dutch energy market.

Our focus is extending mature field life and unlocking stranded reserves by applying proven technology. We also have proven exploration track record and are committed to unleash the full potential of our assets.
